A BIG weekend

It's going to be a BIG weekend at Box Hill Salvos!

Just in case you have forgotten what you can be a part of, here it is:

Saturday 19th June: ANYA Day for the ladies. This will be a great day of teaching (with Major Barbara Wilson), worship and electives. If you haven't registered yet then bring along your $20 and I am sure they will let you join in!

On Sunday 20th June:
We will have our regular 9:30am Service and Kids activities. Come along and worship God together

Our 11:00am service will share in a “Songs of Praise” event which will be a great morning with a variety of people participating. Who have you invited?

At 2:30pm there is a special concert featuring Salvation Army Southern Territory Big Band (soon leaving for Sweden), Eltham High School Symphonic Band (soon leaving for China) and Box Hill Citadel Band (who we don't think are heading anywhere soon)

And during our 6:00pm service Claire Hogan is taking the important step of Soldiership, why not come along and support her in this decision.

Are you wondering how our Team at State Youth Games went last weekend? They got very muddy, but I am told had lots of fun and came sixth out of all the churches who entered and were the highest ranked Salvo Team. A great result for our team!

The weather at the moment is just great for the Classic Winter Roast Dinner, don't you think? A good time to invite around a few friends for a great meal on a cold winters night. And why not make it a meal with a purpose - raising money for the reconstruction work in Haiti. SAPPHIRE (Salvation Army People Providing Help in Real Emergencies) is organising a Christmas In July event on Saturday 24th July were you can host a few friends at your home and be part of this project to raise funds for Salvation Army work in Haiti. If you are on Facebook search for the "SAPPHIRE" Group for more details or otherwise speak to James Allen or one of the SAPPHIRE Team to nominate your home as a Host for this event.
